Halftime festivities

The NASCAR season has reached its halfway point, returning to Daytona this weekend.
NBC takes over coverage for the rest of the season, starting Saturday at 7:45 p.m.
Tony Stewart became the 11th different race victor Sunday at Sonoma. After missing the first eight races due to injury, he needs to pass a few more drivers to make the season-ending Chase for the Cup.
The Xfinity race goes Friday at 7:30 p.m. on NBC Sports network, after Sprint Cup qualifying at 4 p.m.
The fortnight of Wimbledon hits its mid-point this weekend. ESPN has coverage starting at 7 a.m. Thursday and Friday, with play beginning Saturday at 8 a.m.
With baseball nearing its midway point, the Orioles start a four-game set in Seattle, with Saturday’s game on MASN, and the rest on MASN2.
The Nationals face the Reds on MASN Thursday, Friday and Sunday afternoon, with Saturday night’s game on Fox.
Fox also offers Angels-Red Sox and Cubs against the Mets Saturday night. The Yankees face the Padres on FoxSports1 Saturday at 10 p.m. with Marlins-Braves closing out the weekend from Fort Bragg Sunday at 8 p.m.
The quarterfinals of Euro 2016 start Thursday with Portugal-Poland Thursday at 3 p.m. on ESPN2. Wales battles Belguim Friday at 3 p.m., with Germany against Italy Saturday at 3 p.m. Host France takes on Iceland Sunday at 3 p.m. on ESPN.
The Red Bulls take on New York City Sunday at noon on ESPN. Columbus faces Kansas City on FoxSports1 Sunday at 7 p.m.
Akron hosts the Bridgestone Invitational on CBS Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.
The Tour de France gets going Saturday at 6:30 a.m. on NBC Sports network, with Stage 2 Sunday at 8 a.m.
ESPN2 has a pair of CFL contests Thursday, with Ottawa-Montreal at 7 p.m. followed by Toronto taking on Saskatchewan. Calgary clashes with Winnipeg on ESPN2 Friday at 10 p.m.
The road to Rio continues Thursday with swimming trials on NBC Sports network at 6:30 p.m. and NBC at 8 p.m. There’s swimming Friday at 8 p.m. on NBC followed by the start of the track and field trials at 9 p.m.
NBC Sports network has more trials Saturday at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday, and then action moves to NBC Sunday at 7 p.m.
The Red Bud National motorcycle racing goes Saturday at 3 p.m. on NBC Sports network.

In Omaha, the Meadowlands and France, tournament trophies are awaiting their winners.
There won’t be a long wait.
The College World Series gets down to its Final Four Thursday, with Coastal Carolina facing Texas Tech at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.
The two brackets have contests Friday at 3 p.m. on ESPN2 with Oklahoma State battling Arizona, and the Thursday winner plays TCU Friday at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
If necessary, bracket championship games will be Saturday. The bracket winners face off in a best-of-three final starting Monday at 8 p.m.
Copa America crowns its champion Sunday at 8 p.m. as Argentina faces Chile on FoxSports1.
Euro 2016 enters its round of 16 Saturday, as Switzerland faces Poland at 9 a.m. on ESPN. Wales faces Northern Ireland at noon, followed by Croatia-Portugal at 3 p.m.
There’s three more games Sunday, starting at 9 a.m. as host France plays Ireland. Germany meets Slovakia at noon and it’s Hungary-Belgium at 3 p.m.

Father’s Day viewing

The sports world has plenty to offer dads on Father’s Day weekend.
Hopefully there will be very few ties.
Cleveland kept its hopes alive with Monday’s win, forcing Game 6 of the NBA Finals Thursday at 9 p.m. on ABC. A Cavalier win would mean Game 7 Sunday at 8 p.m.
Oakmont hosts the U.S. Open, with coverage starting Thursday and Friday at 10 a.m. on FoxSports1. Fox has primetime coverage both days at 5 p.m.
Fox coverage on the weekend starts Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m.
The College World Series starts its run in Omaha Saturday, with Oklahoma State facing Cal-Santa Barbara at 3 p.m. on ESPN and Arizona-Miami at 8 p.m. Coastal Carolina battles Florida Sunday at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.

Every four years, countries from around the world gather to determine the best in soccer.
In between, the continents crown their own champions.
Copa America Centenario started last weekend, and the group stage continues Thursday as Uruguay meets Venezuela on FoxSports1 at 7:30 p.m. before Mexico takes on Jamaica at the Rose Bowl at 10 p.m.
Fox has two contests Friday, with Chile-Bolivia at 7 p.m. followed by Argentina against Panama at 9:30 p.m.
The United States faces Paraguay in its third group contest Saturday at 7 p.m. on FoxSports1, and Brazil battles Peru Sunday at 8:30 p.m. on FoxSports1.
The quarterfinals will be next weekend.

Final countdown

The long and winding road of the NBA and NHL playoffs have reached their final matchups.
And the eight best softball teams are competing in Oklahoma City for the Women’s College World Series title.
Golden State tries to complete its record season, hosting Cleveland in the NBA Finals starting Thursday at 9 p.m. on ABC. Game 2 will be Sunday at 8 p.m.
The Warriors won a record 73 contests in the regular season, but needed three straight victories to advance to the Finals. The Cavaliers return as their opponent with only two losses so far in the postseason.
In the Stanley Cup Final, it’s Game 3 from San Jose Saturday at 8 p.m. on NBC Sports network. The Penguins took a 2-0 series win with an overtime victory Wednesday.
Georgia and Florida State start the Women’s College World Series Thursday at noon on ESPN, followed by UCLA-Auburn at 2:30 p.m. Alabama clashes with Oklahoma at 7 p.m. on ESPN, with the nightcap matching LSU and Michigan.
There’s a pair of games Friday at 7 and 9:30 p.m. on ESPN2, with four contests Saturday. ESPN has two starting at noon, followed by the night session on ESPN2 at 7 p.m.
