Baseball’s final four

In 1982, the Milwaukee Brewers represented the American League in the World Series.
In 2005, the Houston Astros represented the National League in the World Series.
This week, both will be playing to represent the other league in the 2018 World Series.
The Brewers host the Dodgers Friday at 8 p.m. on FoxSports1, with Game 2 Saturday at 4 p.m. on Fox Milwaukee moved to the National League in 1998 and reached this round just once – in 2011.
The Astros will attempt to defend their 2017 title while the Red Sox mark the 100th anniversary of their final championship of the 20th century.
Game 1 from Fenway Park will be Saturday at 8 p.m., with the second contest at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday’s NFL contest matches the Eagles and Giants on Fox.
The Redskins battle the Panthers on Fox Sunday at 1 p.m. CBS offers the Bengals and Steelers in the early game, with Ravens-Titans in the late afternoon slot. Some areas of Virginia will get the Cowboys’ contest against Jacksonville.
The Chiefs visit the Patriots on NBC Sunday night, with 49ers-Packers on ESPN Monday at 8:15 p.m.
The college football weekend begins Thursday when Texas Tech tangles with TCU on ESPN at 7:30 p.m.
Tulsa takes on South Florida Friday at 7 p.m. on ESPN, followed by Arizona-Utah.
Notre Dame hosts Pittsburgh on NBC Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
It’s Nebraska-Northwestern on ABC at noon, then Washington takes on Oregon and South Florida faces Memphis at 3:30 p.m. The game not seen over the air in your area will be on ESPN2. In primetime, it’s Michigan-Wisconsin.
Second-ranked Georgia tangles with LSU at 3:30 p.m. on CBS.
ESPN starts its day at noon with Florida facing Vanderbilt, then Texas tangles with Baylor at 3:30 p.m. Top-ranked Alabama meets Missouri at 7 p.m.
Indiana battles Iowa on ESPN2 at noon. Virginia’s homecoming clash with Miami is at 7 p.m., with Hawaii-BYU as the nightcap at 10:15 p.m.
Minnesota meets Ohio State at noon on FoxSports1, followed by Purdue-Illinois and West Virginia’s contest with Iowa State at 7 p.m. Colorado clashes with Southern Cal at 10:30 p.m.
On the ACC network, Duke visits Georgia Tech at 12:20 p.m.
Louisville battles Boston College on NBC Sports Washington at 12:30 p.m.
ESPN2 has high school football from Georgia Thursday, with Archer meeting Grayson at 7 p.m. It’s Good Counsel against St. John’s of DC Friday at 7 p.m.
NBC carries NASCAR’s trip to Talledega Sunday at 2 p.m. The truck series goes on Fox Saturday at 1 p.m.
The Capitals visit the Devils Thursday at 7 p.m. on NBC Sports Washington and host Toronto Saturday at 7 p.m.
Croatia takes on England in the Nations League on ESPN2 Friday at 2:30 p.m. Poland battles Italy Sunday at 2:30 p.m. on ESPN.
The United States has an international friendly with Colombia Thursday at 7:30 p.m. on FoxSports1.
The Wizards’ preseason continues with a contest against Guangzhou Long-Lions Friday at 7 p.m. on NBC Sports Washington. LeBron and the Lakers take on the Warriors on ESPN2 Friday at 10:30 p.m.
Michigan State meets Ohio State in women’s volleyball on ESPN2 Sunday at 1 p.m. NBC Sports Washington has Pittsburgh against North Carolina State Sunday at 1 p.m.
