A tradition unlike any other

For 70 years, the winner of The Masters has received a green jacket after his triumph.
By twilight Sunday, another winner will claim his jacket.
CBS has third round action from Augusta National Saturday at 3 p.m. Final round coverage starts Sunday at 2 p.m.
The green jacket tradition began in 1949, with Sam Snead taking it home in the first official presentation.
ESPN has the first two rounds Thursday and Friday at 3 p.m.
The Orioles close their series with the A’s Thursday at 12:30 p.m. on MASN and visit the Red Sox for the weekend.
The Nationals host the Pirates on MASN2 for the weekend.
FoxSports1 has the Giants’  contest with the Rockies Saturday at 4 p.m., followed by Mets-Braves. ESPN offers the Cardinals against the Reds Sunday at 4 p.m. and Mets battling the Braves at 7 p.m.
The Capitals begin their defense of the Stanley Cup Thursday at 7:30 p.m. against the Hurricanes on USA and NBC Sports Washington. NBC Sports network has Maple Leafs-Bruins Thursday at 7 p.m. and Colorado clashing with Calgary at 10 p.m.
It’s Game 2 between Columbus and Tampa Bay Friday at 7 p.m. on CNBC. The Penguins tangle with the Islanders at 7:30 p.m. on NBC Sports network, then coverage shifts out west for Blues-Jets at 9:30 p.m. on CNBC and Golden Knights against the Sharks at 10:30 p.m. on NBC Sports network.
NBC has Capitals-Hurricanes Saturday at 3 p.m. and Maple Leafs battling the Bruins at 8 p.m. The Predators host the Stars on NBC Sports network at 6 p.m., followed by the Avalanche meeting the Flames.
The Penguins host the Islanders on NBC Sunday at noon. NBC Sports network has Lightning-Blue Jackets at 7 p.m. before the Golden Knights tangle with the Sharks at 10 p.m. CNBC brings the Jets against the Blues at 7:30 p.m.
The NBA playoffs get going Saturday with Eastern Conference matchups between the Nets and Sixers on ESPN at 2:30 p.m. and Magic-Raptors at 5 p.m. ABC brings Warriors-Clippers at 8 p.m. followed by the Nuggets hosting the Spurs on ESPN at 10:30 p.m.
Sunday’s action starts with the Celtics taking on the Pacers at 1 p.m. on TNT. The TrailBlazers meet the Thunder on ABC at 3:30 p.m., then top-seeded Milwaukee tangles with the Pistons at 7 p.m. on TNT. Houston hosts the Jazz at 9:30 p.m. on TNT.
The NCAA’s Frozen Four is Thursday, with Providence against Minnesota-Duluth at 5 p.m. and Denver facing Massachusetts at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN2. The winners battle Saturday at 8 p.m. on ESPN2 for the title.
Richmond hosts NASCAR this weekend, with the Monster Series on Fox Saturday at 7 p.m. The Xfinity Series goes Friday at 7:30 p.m. on FoxSports1.
It’s the Grand Prix of Long Beach Indy Car race Sunday at 4:30 p.m. on NBC Sports network. There’s qualifying Saturday at 2:45 p.m.
Formula One races in China Sunday at 2:05 a.m. on ESPN2. There’s qualifying Saturday at 1:55 a.m. after practice Friday at 1:55 a.m.
Notre Dame plays its spring football game Saturday at 12:30 p.m. on NBC Sports network. ESPN2 has Alabama’s spring game Saturday at 2 p.m.

In the MLS, Minnesota United faces New York City FC Saturday at 5 p.m. Sporting KC takes on the Red Bulls on FoxSports1 at 7 p.m.

NBC Sports network has Leicester City against Newcastle United Friday at 2:55 p.m. It’s Tottenham Hotspur meeting Huddersfield Town Saturday at 7:25 a.m. and Burnley’s battle with Cardiff City at 10 a.m.
NBC brings Manchester United-West Ham at 12:30 p.m.
Crystal Palace clashes with Manchester City Sunday at 9 a.m. on NBC Sports network and it’s Liverpool-Chelsea at 11:25 a.m.
In the Bundesliga, Leipzig meets Wolfsburg on FoxSports1 Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and Dortmund battles Mainz at noon. Fortuna Dusseldorf faces Bayern Munich Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and Eintracht Frankfurt takes on Augsburg Sunday at noon.
There’s women’s pro soccer between the Washington Spirit and Sky Blue FC Saturday at 7 p.m. on NBC Sports Washington.
MASN has the Apple Blossom Handicap Sunday at 5:30 p.m. and Tokyo City Cup at 7 p.m. The Arkansas Derby goes on NBC Sports network Saturday at 7 p.m.
Clemson clashes with Florida State in college baseball Sunday at 1 p.m. on ESPN2.
In college softball, Auburn faces Georgia Saturday at noon on ESPN2. It’s Oregon-UCLA on ESPN2 Sunday at 4 p.m.
James Madison visits Drexel in women’s lacrosse Friday at 6 p.m. on NBC Sports Washington.
NBC Sports Washington has rugby between San Diego and New York Sunday at 1 p.m.
Denver hosts Motocross racing Saturday at 8 p.m. on NBC Sports network.
