In Omaha, the Meadowlands and France, tournament trophies are awaiting their winners.
There won’t be a long wait.
The College World Series gets down to its Final Four Thursday, with Coastal Carolina facing Texas Tech at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.
The two brackets have contests Friday at 3 p.m. on ESPN2 with Oklahoma State battling Arizona, and the Thursday winner plays TCU Friday at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
If necessary, bracket championship games will be Saturday. The bracket winners face off in a best-of-three final starting Monday at 8 p.m.
Copa America crowns its champion Sunday at 8 p.m. as Argentina faces Chile on FoxSports1.
Euro 2016 enters its round of 16 Saturday, as Switzerland faces Poland at 9 a.m. on ESPN. Wales faces Northern Ireland at noon, followed by Croatia-Portugal at 3 p.m.

Every four years, countries from around the world gather to determine the best in soccer.

Copa America Centenario started last weekend, and the group stage continues Thursday as Uruguay meets Venezuela on FoxSports1 at 7:30 p.m. before Mexico takes on Jamaica at the Rose Bowl at 10 p.m.
Fox has two contests Friday, with Chile-Bolivia at 7 p.m. followed by Argentina against Panama at 9:30 p.m.

Final countdown

The long and winding road of the NBA and NHL playoffs have reached their final matchups.
And the eight best softball teams are competing in Oklahoma City for the Women’s College World Series title.
Golden State tries to complete its record season, hosting Cleveland in the NBA Finals starting Thursday at 9 p.m. on ABC. Game 2 will be Sunday at 8 p.m.
The Warriors won a record 73 contests in the regular season, but needed three straight victories to advance to the Finals. The Cavaliers return as their opponent with only two losses so far in the postseason.
In the Stanley Cup Final, it’s Game 3 from San Jose Saturday at 8 p.m. on NBC Sports network. The Penguins took a 2-0 series win with an overtime victory Wednesday.
Georgia and Florida State start the Women’s College World Series Thursday at noon on ESPN, followed by UCLA-Auburn at 2:30 p.m. Alabama clashes with Oklahoma at 7 p.m. on ESPN, with the nightcap matching LSU and Michigan.
There’s a pair of games Friday at 7 and 9:30 p.m. on ESPN2, with four contests Saturday. ESPN has two starting at noon, followed by the night session on ESPN2 at 7 p.m.

As the time to claim a spot in NASCAR’s playoffs winds down, the teams head to Thunder Valley this weekend.
NBC Sports network has the Bristol night race Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The Xfinity race goes Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Eleven drivers have claimed victories so far this season, with races left in Bristol, Darlington and Richmond before the final 10 races. Kyle Busch and Jimmie Johnson have already posted four trips to Victory Lane before the wins really count down the stretch.

Tom Watson, five-time winner of the Open, will be making his trip around the course. Wild weather might invade on Friday, making the historic course even tougher.

A few weeks ago, the University of Virginia baseball team was struggling to make the top 10 in the ACC.

Is it finally the Triple Crown year?

Twice in the past three years, a horse went to the Belmont Stakes with a chance to win the Triple Crown.
And failed.
American Pharoah tries to end the 37-year drought at Saturday’s Belmont Stakes. NBC has coverage at 4:30 p.m.
An eight-horse field will tackle the longest race of the Triple Crown, and American Pharoah drew the fifth slot Wednesday. A first place finish after that will make major history.
